Organization.

I figured it out.

The key (or at least one of them) to success is organization.

Persistence, grit, determination, and focus. Each of these are great and I believe they result in getting you far in life but organization … that’s the missing ingredient.

I can only speak on what I see and experience in my own personal life and although I’m only 26 years old, I believe I’ve been exposed to a fair amount of successful people.

The one thing they all have in common? Organization.

Tobias had a plan for each day which featured skill work in the basketball gym with his basketball trainer, and weight room work with his strength and conditioning trainer.

Peter and Mike have a dry erase board in their respective offices which is filled with tasks they must focus on each day.

Salesforce is a billion + dollar company.

What’s the common denominator?

Organization.

The bible says “The plans of the diligent lead surely to advantage, but everyone who is hasty comes surely to poverty.” Proverbs 21:5

Does it get anymore clear than that?

Everyone who is hasty comes surely to poverty.

My current reality consists of trying to find companies to represent in their acquisition, disposal, etc. of real estate.

I’ve found that I can reach out to X company in December and not get a response for 8 months. Not only does a lot of time pass during those 8 months, but new opportunities present themselves. How do I make sure I don’t forget about X company?

Organization.

Everything must be written down.

Tracking your goals, objectives, leads etc. is vital.

To be successful, you can’t just have talent, skill, and grit.

Even the best players have coaches who watch film, strategize, and put them in position to be successful. This is all planning and organization.

Don’t let your work go to waste because you didn’t keep track.

Get organized.
